theQuest is a short film on public education and innovation. Statistics show that every 26 seconds, a student drops out of school in the United States. This staggering statistic prompted this film and we began to ask, what can we do better in the public education space? What needs to change?

It’s astonishing that right now in the U.S., one student drops out of school every 26 seconds.

My friend Robbie Osenga (a public school principal who is passionate about education and innovation) and I had an opportunity to take a trip to Silicon Valley and visit Google, Apple, Microsoft and Comcast’s Innovation Center.

During this trip, we were able to look inside of these companies and talk to some of their developers. The company we were most amazed by was Google.
